Paulding Car Burglaries
DALLAS, GA - Paulding County authorities have arrested two men for a spree of car break-ins at two subdivisions late last month.
Jamel Raheim Cole, 20, and Marlin Dennard Nichols, 19, both of Dallas, are charged with entering automobiles and financial transaction card fraud. Cole also faces a burglary charge.
In the overnight hours of January 22, multiple vehicles were broke into in the Seven Hills and Park at Cedarcrest subdivisions in northern Paulding County.
In most of the incidents, someone entered unlocked cars and trucks and took items from inside.
In one, the thieves entered a garage, which had the garage door open, and stole items from inside the garage.
The items that were stolen included a firearm, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives, with cooperation from the community and the use of home surveillance video footage, were able to make the two arrests, a sheriff's office spokesman said.
They are still seeking a male suspect and a female suspect in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 770-443-3015.
The sheriff's office also is encouraging everyone to take valuables out of their vehicles at night, lock their car doors and keep their homes locked and garage doors down.
